It was a cold, dark night and all the penguins were sleeping in their snow banks. Then, suddenly, biologists interrupted their peaceful sleep. They were trying to figure out what would make the aloe plant come back to life. So they decided to take one to Antarctica to see if the cold weather would bring it back to life. 99% of them did not believe that it would work. But they did not think realistically. They did not know they would end up here in........
The Dawn Zone
“There. We’ll come back in about....” Gertrude thought for a moment. The aloe plant curled a leaf. “Huh? What the...” mumbled Gertrude.
“Six months?” yelled Jessica.
“That plant just moved!” Gertrude was petrified.
“Hello?” yelled Jessica, even louder.
“Six months!” Eve whispered into Gertrude’s ear.
“Six months.” mumbled Gertrude. “Whatever.”
“Now, you said that stinkin’ plant moved all by itself? Now I’ve heard EVERYTHING!” said Eve.
“Shut your smelly fat mouth, will ya?” said Jessica.
“Hey, It’s not MY bad breath you’re smelling!” said Gertrude. “But I could have sworn....”
“Button it!” said the aloe plant.
“Who said that?” said Bucky.
“Um, uh, the wind. It went Booooohht-tooon eeeeeeeeeeeeet.” said Dr. Alakazaamaschzneizenpoofy.
“I’m telling you....” warned Gertrude.
God, no wonder my fourth grade teacher hated me.
