No, it really was swine flu... at least, it was confirmed for Dorotea when she went to the doctor today (she got an ear infection from it)... and we did have pretty much the exact same symptoms, with hers being about a day later than mine. So yeah, it's swine flu. It sucks. But I'm fine. XD

I got my REGULAR flu shot... which hopefully will work for the regular seasonal flu this winter, but I was not a priority for the swine flu vaccine since I'm over 18, even though I have (VERY) mild asthma.
It's not so bad, it's just like regular flu except shorter... at least the version my friend and I had (at pretty much the same time, she was about a day behind me, plus she got an ear infection from it). Apparently there are two slight variations of it... a friend of mine seems to have gotten the more serious one, and his fever went away and relapsed... which is a huge warning sign, so he went to the ER. Pretty sure he's doing fine now, though.
And then there was someone my mom is acquainted with through facebook (lulz), whose daughter-in-law got it and died because she was pregnant and therefore high-risk, and it was before they knew much at all about the virus. :(
The whole virus is just a bitch. But I'm totally back to normal. I just need to find time to practice again after all of this... I hadn't been able to because of the congestion and sore throat... and I have all of THIS (http://peabodyopera.org/schedule/index.php?artist=kruskol) plus classes (everything highlighted is what I'm needed for... though, if you won't be back for two months you may not see anything since it's updated according to the day/week, and the opera will be over on Nov 22. For example, though, my weekend this week is... Saturday: 2 to 5 and 6 to 8. Sunday: 2:30 to 5 and 6 to 10.)
End rant. I hope you get back to the computer soon :< especially since I hope to get that fic done and posted ASAP; I love whoever posted that request, I seriously jumped and fangirled in my seat, and I was like THIS IS MIIIINNNNNEEE

I get sick often. Usually the result of my East-coast raised self running around in a tank and shorts while snowboarding to freak-out Cali-bred friends. It turns out that 50 degrees or no, snow can still be bad.
I got my h1n1 shot, and they gave me the regular flu right up the nose. It tasted funny :(
