honoumikoOH MY GOD OH MY GOD. ICON FUCKING RELEVANT.
So I was supposed to go see Nightwish tonight, but Anette is sick, so they had to cancel... the rest of the band was there to say hello and make some funny jokes... and to introduce SONATA ARCTICA WHICH WAS AMAZING. OH MY GOD. I'm not TOO hoarse, because I know my volume limit and I knew when to shut up. And I actually didn't need earplugs, the music was loud but not ridiculously so... plus, when I put them in, I couldn't hear ANY vocals.
But seriously... what an incredible rush. First real rock concert (seeing Jam Project as an Otakon-related event only half counts, sort of... I mean I love them, but still). And wow... lead singer has an INCREDIBLE voice. I am so happy. This week has been pretty damn awesome.
On a COMPLETELY unrelated note, these statistics are made of WIN.
The video was posted on La Cieca, a gay opera blog I'd kind of half-lurked around occasionally. The video hasn't been up for 48 hours, and it already has like 900+ views. I was wondering where the hell they all came from, and once enough time passed for Youtube Insight to work on it, I found out 70% of the views are coming from this blog post. He dedicated the post to Clay Aiken's coming out of the closet.
Again. I am so happy. That's like, internet fame, in the exact form I would appreciate it.
