So I had my last day of work until Christmas break today. Of course, Christmas break is gonna be hell, because it IS retail.
Funny/awesome story.

CurryMuttonPizza: so these two asian guys come in to the store
CurryMuttonPizza: one of them is looking to have their watch sized down
CurryMuttonPizza: but we couldn't do it there, because they didn't buy it there and we're not responsible just in case, even though it was just to take a link out... we still have to deal with mallets and stuff so we don't take chances
CurryMuttonPizza: so I told him to go to one of the kiosks
CurryMuttonPizza: so he's like "but I don't trust those kiosks, I'd rather you guys do it"
CurryMuttonPizza: so I said "well you'd have to talk to madonna but she's with a customer, but if it's any help, I heard the one right past filene's is better"
CurryMuttonPizza: and he said "okay thank you"
CurryMuttonPizza: and I was bowed to
CurryMuttonPizza: it was awesome

So I've been working on "Thy Hand, Belinda... When I am Laid in Earth" just for fun, because that aria is incredible. And I KNOW, I know, Dr. A. already said I'm a young lyric soprano (instead of a soubrette, which is what she said I'd be for the rest of my life, back in the beginning of the school year), but still, I'd like to have her hear me sing this and still think I'm a soubrette. Even though she knows I'm really more lyrical than that. I can DO soubrette and I tend to be more comfortable with it at this point, but it doesn't mean I don't have a lyric voice, because I do.
AND MY VOCAL ENDURANCE IS COMING BACK!! YAY! I was waiting for that. But it's my own fault for slacking on practicing. I'm getting about an average of an hour every day these days, and I'm going to try and work up to two and perhaps two and a half before I get back to school. That's about what I was doing before my audition, and my voice was at its peak then. I don't want to come back and have them say, "um, where did your voice go?" But it's coming back, so I'm not too worried.
I need something to drink! O_O

yeah, that's a good aria. I worked on it a little while back and I've always wanted to pick it up again.

Haha, I remember I was listening to it on repeat and was in one of those really morbid moods that happen sometimes and I started visualizing it being sung at my funeral, and I got horribly depressed... haha I'm not one of those people who is completely enthusiastic about death... I can get morbid and pretty into it but it always makes me sad. That's a good thing, though. XD Sean once said I'm a goth at heart but that's where it sort of stops. lol
