So how do they expect me to fill a large monthly sales quota if they:
a) cut down my hours
b) tell me I'm not even supposed to be making sales in the first place and that I'm to stay at the cash register
c) don't even tell me that I HAVE a quota, because all the daily quotas are posted, and I never saw ANYTHING written for me, and it's not like it's something that you can miss. Your name is either listed WITH a quota or WITHOUT a quota, and this month my name has either been there with one of those little negation lines meaning "not applicable" or whatever, or it hasn't been listed at all.

Thankfully I have a kind and caring manager who cut down my quota when I told her what I was told by my co-workers, and that I always checked the list of quotas and I was never put on it this summer, so I don't have to sell $4440 in one day in order to reach it. Because, you know, since they cut down my hours, today is my only day left to reach the quota, since I don't go in until after the end of the month. I honestly don't know what exactly I have left to sell now, except that she said I'm a lot closer.

If I don't reach the quota, I get written up. If I get written up three times, I'm fired. Plus, I have no idea if I've been written up before, because if I have, I would not be surprised at all if they just neglected to notify me because I'm only there during my vacations. Maybe I'm just being pessimistic, but I really think that I probably have failed to reach the quota before, and that they just never told me because they'd figure, "oh, well, she's not here for the time being, so we'll tell her when she comes back in to work" and then forgot. I wouldn't be surprised at all.

So I have no idea HOW close I am to the new quota, but whatever it is, I have to reach it in one day. I work from 2-8. I hope that's enough time.

So.... if anyone wants to come in and buy something from me today, I'll be there from 2-8. Of course if you don't have a reason then don't force yourself to go in and buy jewelry, because that's just stupid, but if you feel like you need to treat yourself or if you had something in mind already and have been putting off buying it, feel free. lol

And don't think I'm looking for commissions either, because our commission is crap, it may as well just not be there in the first place. This is my job I'm worried about.

Dude, you should do what the police do when they have quotas to fill...pull over every person walking over the speed limit or in the wrong human traffic lane and insist they buy something as compensation for their offense. Think about it. Haha. I'm glad your manager understands though.

YES that would be amazing.

I should pull over that really creepy creepy guy that the manager pointed out today that apparently always wears the same clothes and hat and carries the same CVS bag with a newspaper in it to make it look like he's been shopping, but he's really just sitting and watching the carousel, and probably the children....
she's tried to call security on the guy but security was lame and didn't even come to see. (???) He seems harmless enough, because he just sits there, but it's really unsettling and if he sits there enough I'm afraid he's gonna act on an impulse.
Meh, hopefully security will get him. He's kind of hard to miss, he has a Hawaiian shirt and a straw hat. Which is also why I think he's fairly harmless, because any criminal with a brain wouldn't wear the same clothes every day, let alone THOSE. lol I just hope those kids are okay.
