Feb. 17th, 2006 12:54 pmThe wind is INSANE today. Currently: (edit: when I started this message, which was.... hours ago. the wind has died down since. Still a little noisy.)
21 degrees, feels like 7.
Winds from WNW at 18 mph, with gusts up to 35.
A girl I sort of know got hit in the face with a tree branch. She's fine, she was whine-laughing about it.
Power went out several times. I hope it won't any more tonight, because my computer is on now, and my battery does not work.
I think our microwave mutated from a power surge. The little number display at the top flickers now, and both my roommate and I noticed that while making instant food, our water boiled way more with the same amount of time, thus leaving my peanut sauce thicker and her macaroni without any water to put the cheese powder in.
I read for pleasure/enrichment today (Inner Voice). Something I haven't done in a while. Even with HP, which doesn't count anyway, no matter how much fun it is.
So.
Time for quizzes.

You're a DRAMA QUEEN AIM-ER. Like, omigod!
What kind of AIM-er are you?
brought to you by Quizilla
I really don't think that's me at all... do any of you?

Pagliacci
Which opera from the Opera Queensland 2002 Season are you?
brought to you by Quizilla
Ooooh, good one.

You are Mme Butterfly!
What Opera Are You?

As if we didn't see that one coming. I think I'd taken it before.
Ping--you're a minister of China (Turandot)
What opera character are you?
brought to you by Quizilla
What about Pang and Pong????? Hahaha I love those three.

You are the Queen of the Night. I sometimes doubt
if the people who play you are actually human
because they sing so high. You try to make
your daughter kill someone. You die because
you randomly sink into the ground in an
earthquake.
Which opera character are you?
brought to you by Quizilla
Funny, I was tempted to pick the obvious Queen of the Night answer in the "what are you most likely to say" but decided to go with "Hojotoho" because it's an awesome nonsense Wagner word. Although I might like Weialla Heia better. seeing as I wrote it in a drunken text message. shhhhhh......
Man, reading the possible results for that one was awesome. Everyone should take that quiz.

You're Lady Macbeth of Mtsenk! You're passionate,
sexy, driven by your basic physical desires.
You're attracted to beautiful looking people
and beautiful looking possesions. Your whole
world might be coming down, but you still
manage to seduce that special someone to get
what you want.
What Kind of Opera Are You?
brought to you by Quizilla
Oh lord. O.o

The private box is your favorite place to be! You
love the mesh of visual and aural art which
is, and has always been, widely renowned as
genius. Furthermore, you cannot possibly
understand these "Hip- Hoppera"
freaks who claim to be cultured. You were
born to love this music, and, to you, the
opera is not a test of survival, but a
welcome retreat. More power to you!
How long would you last at an opera?
brought to you by Quizilla
And they put the Phantom logo.
WTF. *screams*
At least it didn't actually say Phantom on it, so it theoretically could be any opera mask.
I want an opera mask. A really sparkly one. Hmmmmmm. *plans to check ebay later*

Alexandra Deshorties - Ambitious and young, you
have not yet achieved the fame and fortune
that you desire. However, success is just
down the road. Your inner strength is too
great for that to be avoided. Consider a
career in political lobbying or assistant
managing.
Which opera singer are you?
brought to you by Quizilla
Dude. How about a career in opera...?

The opera that is most like your life is
"Tosca" by Puccini. You love your
sweetheart, but then they get captured, you
try to save them but you make matters worse.
You end up killing yourself. How tragic, but
typical opera.
Which opera is most like your life?
brought to you by Quizilla

You are Cio-Cio-San, from 'Madama Butterfly', by
Giacomo Puccini. You are a youthful, exotic
beauty, charming, elegant and poised. You are
also naive enough to believe in love at first
sight, and that cultural barriers are
irrelevant when two people are in love. You
are also quite happy to while away the hours
in daydreams, rather than actively pursuing
your own happiness. After a brief period in
which your belief in True Love will seem to
be utterly vindicated, you will no doubt be
cruelly tossed aside. Thus you probably begin
see yourself as the unwitting victim of a
US-led cultural-imperialist plot, a belief
that may or may not be entirely paranoid.
Ultimately, you will be forced to realise the
true nature of your situation, and rather
than submit to the indignity of emigration
and/or cultural annihilation, will commit
suicide, which given your earlier conversion
to Christianity (in order to appease your new
lover), will result in little more than your
eternal damnation.
Which Heroine from Opera are you?

Again, like we didn't see that coming.
OPERA FREAK!
The Opera Quiz
brought to you by Quizilla
ESPECIALLY SINCE I CAN TELL YOU THAT NONE OF THE ANSWERS FOR THE MOZART QUESTION WERE RIGHT, DAMMIT

Puccini: Your life is tragic and romantic. You are
hopelessly in love, and if your lucky you're
lover loves you. But the honeymoon won't last
long. You'll end up dying or killing yourself
because your lover doesn't love you anymore.
Ultimately, you'll die unhappy. But you do
get to piss and moan and be the center of
attention!
Who wrote your opera?
brought to you by Quizilla
Duh. *heart bleeds*
My guess is the other two options were Wagner and Mozart. Stupid no "see all possible results" button.
Leporello
