Well, I'm feeling a lot better about my voice. I had what went from a crappy voice day (I think it was actually just still asleep and I had to wake it up, because it was making a fuss. If it could talk, it would have been going "I DON'T WANT TO GET UP, BIOTCH" and slapped me in the face, because it did hurt. Then I slapped IT in the face by practicing a lot and then it finally woke up and made me happy.) to an AMAZING voice day. I came up with a bunch of interpretive ideas and found a GREAT ping in my high A in the Granados. Elusive ping, but wonderful ping.

I still remember that first time I went to visit Peabody and observed a lesson with Dr. Cornett, there was another student in the room who commented on the one singing, saying "Man, I remember freshman year when you came in with your little voice singing Deh Vieni, my god." (I'm working on Deh Vieni and offering it for the audition.) You know what she was singing in the lesson? Vissi d'Arte. And you know what? It sounded incredible. That's what I want. And I want to do it right. I'm not giving up.

yes!!! DR CORNETT HAS SO MANY SUCESS STORIES FOR SOPRANOS take him if you get in here do it!!! I PROMISE YOU WONT BE DISSAPONITED AT ALL :) what he has done for my voice is unimagineable to me. Never in my life did I think I could ever sound like freni.....and I do now :) I always thought the damage my old teacher did would be hard to fix. but now I have fixed it and whoah I can sing for hours and hours and not feel tired or my voice hurting. :) do it girl!! do it!

Stephanie Kruskol.... don't say much though, just that I observed two lessons at his house in 2004... just curious if he remembers me. Probably not, but you never know. Haha I remember I was waiting for the taxi to pick me up for a really long time. Just don't do a white lie and say I'm good because you've never heard me, lol.
