If you plan to cook on an electric stove, please be aware that the dials are abnormal. They do not work like other dials. Do not ask me why they choose to be different. Maybe they're going through an identity crisis. But regardless, keep in mind that they ARE different, and they turn counter-clockwise instead of clockwise like normal dials. Failure to do so may result in frustration due to your pan not heating when you think you're turning the heat up, and possible oil spatters while attempting to pan-fry and steam chicken shumai, because you thought you were turning the heat down.
Not that *I* ever did anything like that...
