I made chicken cordon bleu last night. It oozed a bit. But it's all good.
I'm so happy the Revolutionary Etude is coming back to my hands. I just need to cut my already short fingernails because they're STILL in the way. I hate having to cut my nails so short. It's so unpretty. Especially since I rarely have the motivation to paint them. They're painted now though.
Anyway I'm really confused. Derryfield is probably going to do Les Miz, which is a stretch, but I think they can do it. But I'm torn... I don't know which role to go out for! Fantine is the most tragic, but she's only in the beginning and the end and she doesn't have her own thing in One Day More. Cosette gets all the high notes, but she's a bubblehead. Eponine is probably the best role to get, and I look like her (I think?) but it's the hardest one to sing. It's just in this odd range... It's just difficult. Plus I have to stop squinting when I sing because I'm not expressive and it sucks. I'm working on that. Anyone have any opinions (that I haven't heard yet? lol Nick) about who I should go out for? I'm so torn... ;_;

Derryfield is a preppie neo nazi republican infrastructure designed to bring about the downfall of modern society through class conflict and privatization of education. I love Derryfield.

Actually, we have a rather mixed crowed as far as political views go; I'm a democrat (my republican friend[?] keeps complaining about the liberalism of the school). But that was very funny. Come see whatever show we do. lol

I absolutely love chicken cordon bleu. It almost always oozes, but it's so good!

As for the fingernails, my nails grow really fast and very nicely, so when I didn't play the piano or the cello, I grew them out and sometimes manicured them, and they looked quite nice. Now, I need to keep them as short as I possibly can for both instruments, so I just file them every couple of days. It almost seems pointless to make them pretty if I'm just going to file them again the day after tomorrow! And even when I've filed them as short as I possibly can, I sometimes feel that if they were shorter, I would be able to grip the keys more. Good luck on your nails!

I love the Revolutionary Etude (I assume you mean etude #12). Those crashing chords and rapidly descending passages are just thrilling (my grandmother used to call it music to murder to), and the rest of the piece is lovely. I'm glad that it's coming together again for you and hope that you'll soon be playing it more perfectly than ever!

Hehe, I'm just learning how to cook, if you can tell from my most recent entry... O.o;;;
The etude...is SO HARD TO PLAY.... lol I can get through it, but it's always incredibly sloppy...
I love the cello. I can't play it though. I used to play violin, but I stopped because three music lessons a week (voice and piano were the others) was too much work. And this was before high school. XP I miss the violin though. I'll get back to it someday when I have time; probably when I'm out of work looking for a job on Broadway... ^^;
